Hello, my name is Russell George and I have my own small dojo located in Lara, Victoria Australia. I am a member of Wado Ryu of Japan, Australia which in turn is a member of the Wado Academy, London. I first learned Wado Ryu karate from Sensei Wally Maclean (6th Dan, AKF.) who began teaching Wado in Australia in 1967. Sadly Sensei passed away on 7 September 2003. Our current Chief Instructor is Sensei Clive Waymouth, 5th Dan Wado Ryu Japan.

We are fortunate to also have as our instructor, Sensei M. Shiomitsu (9th Dan Hanshi), Chief Instructor of the Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Academy. Sensei Shiomitsu is based in the United Kingdom and Europe but travels the world teaching the Wado-Ryu style and visits Australia annually.
