WADO RYU WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, TOKYO 2009.
It is important to remember that in 2009 the Wado World Chamionships are to be held in Tokyo and it would be great if we could send a few fighters and perhaps even a team to compete in this prestigious contest .
If you are contemplating doing so then you should speak with your Sensei and attend senior training sessions and also enter as many tournaments as you can to gain experience, win, draw or lose. It takes a degree of courage to enter a tournament in the first place but you need skill and fight fitness. To succeed you need all three.
SHIOMITSU SENSEI - Training course 2008
Sensei SHIOMITSU, 9th Dan Wado Ryu again visited Australia to conduct the annual training course and Dan Grade testing. Once again it was a facinating experience to train with one of the worlds leading martial artists.
Wally Maclean Memorial Training SessionS 2008.
As usual this year there are two special training sessions to be held in memory of Sensei Maclean. The September session will be held at the Lara Dojo on Sunday 11th September 2008 . Contact Sensei George for further details close to the date. The December session will be held at the Lillydale dojo on Sunday 11th December 2008 . Contact Sensei EAST for further deatils closer to the date. All are welcome to attend the training and the social event afterwards.
